Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp kosher salt
2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Maldon Sea Salt, for finishing
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.
Add the egg and vanilla. Mix until light in color and creamy.
Add in the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt), add to bowl and mix just till combined.
Add in chocolate chips and stir till combined.
Scoop out using 1oz ice cream scoop onto parchment lined sheets and top with additional mini chocolate chips.
Bake for 6-7minutes, until the cookies are turning golden brown on edges.
Once the cookies come out of the oven top with a little sprinkle of Maldon sea salt.
Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 20 minutes before serving or transferring to a wire rack.
