Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla

  • 4 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

  • Maldon Sea Salt, for finishing

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.

  • Add the egg and vanilla. Mix until light in color and creamy.

  • Add in the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt), add to bowl and mix just till combined.

  • Add in chocolate chips and stir till combined.

  • Scoop out using 1oz ice cream scoop onto parchment lined sheets and top with additional mini chocolate chips.

  • Bake for 6-7minutes, until the cookies are turning golden brown on edges.

  • Once the cookies come out of the oven top with a little sprinkle of Maldon sea salt.

  • Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 20 minutes before serving or transferring to a wire rack.
